HEITMANN [atelier & gallery]
Summer Invitational Exhibition [june 5 - july 25, 2009] After a substantial deliberation process, fourteen incredibly diverse and talented artists were selected to be included in the first Summer Invitational Exhibition at Heitmann Atelier & Gallery. The two month long exhibition features a selection of new work by local and regional artists. While each come from a similar geographic location, each have developed a unique voice through the work they produce. The exhibition has a special blend of young contemporary artists who are creating art that is not only fresh but has a broad visual appeal. The work ranges from the figurative focus of Eli Smith and Gloria Guardiola to quiet spaces depicted by Matthew Shelley, Elaina Posey, and Jerri Castillo. Furthering the imagination with bizarre yet satisfying paintings by Francine Fox, Andrew Small, Carlie Leagjeld and Brendan Loper. Plus the pure optical pleasure created by Ken Hill and Rachel Chambers, next to experimental process-driven work by Daniel J. Cook, Michael Weaver, and Yvonne Valenza. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
